Brent Saupe is a San Francisco Bay Area medical cannabis cultivation and grow construction consultant. He teaches others to grow their own medical cannabis, introduces patients to gardeners, and helps to facilitate compliant sustainable collective gardening.
Born and raised in Southern California, Brent became involved with marijuana early in life: he experienced his first law enforcement raid on an indoor garden at age twelve. Brent has worked with Americans For Safe Access (ASA) since 2002, giving legal trainings and as a peer councilor in dispensaries. Brent also has volunteered with the San Francisco chapter of ASA since 2002 where he helped facilitate meetings, coordinate volunteers, create fund raising opportunities, planned emergency raid responses, and rallied patients for dispensary/court support.
As a member of the San Francisco Medical Cannabis Task Force, Brent advised the Board of Supervisors concerning medical cannabis cultivation. His focus is on creating reasonable garden guidelines that are easy for patients and law enforcement to understand. An experimental collective garden that Brent coordinated called Potspace was declared by the SFWeekly to be “the best place for someone else to grow your own” in 2011.
As a general contractor, Brent found a niche in the San Francisco medical cannabis community helping patients set up safe and legally compliant gardens. Having experienced five medical cannabis garden inspections personally over the last ten years, Brent has the experience necessary to ensure your garden’s continued success and compliance.
